Vulnerability

“Vulnerability”– At first, it sounds like something we all would want to avoid, doesn’t it? We all want, and need respect. And we want to be successful in life. This means we should avoid being vulnerable, right?

Not according to Brené Brown, PhD researcher in Social Work. In these three TED Talks, she presents a convincing argument that the exact opposite is true. Not that we should avoid standing up for ourselves, but we must allow ourselves to be vulnerable if we are to grow, learn, or enlist the help of others. But I am not the expert here– watch these three brief presentations, and you will see why she has had over six million views of these three TED Talks–
